Not only are we thanked in person on a regular basis, we receive countless letters, poems and artwork showing appreciation. This is an example of what we receive. "My 90-year-old mom broke her hip and after hospital care needed rehab. My sister and I inquired everywhere possible to choose the local rehab facility in Salinas, California that had the best track record. After much research on our part, we chose your facility. Because of the mental image we both had of a nursing home I decided to play hardball and look for anything, any reason to complain about the care my mother was receiving. It wasn't until after about two weeks at Kindred that my sister and I conferred about mom's care, and I found that she was doing the same thing I was. We discovered that neither of us could find a single thing to complain about. In fact my mom spent approximately two months in the rehab facility, and right up to the day we checked her out of the facility, we could not find a single employee that did not seem qualified and who enjoyed working in the facility providing care for patients. I am a small business owner and have little time to write this sort of letter; however, I so appreciate the excellent care your staff provided for my mother that I made the time to write. Keep up the excellent work, and replace the mental image many of us have of the nasty nursing home. The staff and management at Kindred should be commended on a job well done!"
